Sale at property auction

Hi
I am looking for written confirmation of the sale price of a piece of land I sold at auction in August 2013. The estate agents say they have no information re the auction (which I do have: the date, the location and the property for sale). I am seeking proof of the price when the hammer went down? The land registry state that auction prices do not have to be submitted but there must be some proof somewhere?

Any ideas?

Can you obtain a copy of the transfer deed from Land Registry?

Did you instruct a solicitor?

Can the buyer assist?

Yes the estate agents were the auctioneers, and I was hoping not use my lawyer preferring for the estate agent to see sense and prefer to maintain the high standards expected of them- clearly not!

I do not understand that. A transfer of the property still has to be signed and submitted.

It may come under additional price paid data (includes repossessions) which wasn't captured until 2013: http://landregistry.data.gov.uk/app/root/doc/ppd

Just get a copy of the transfer from the Land Registry. It is surely as simple as that.
