Time limit to have meeting

It's a possibility that my request was ignored because of a defect. I sent the original request to the company secretary to circulate. Should I have posted it to every single shareholder?

Do please read section 303 (link given earlier). The request is made to the directors.

Okay. Understood. Obviously I made a mistake which explains why my request was ignored. I have just looked at 303. Would a request to one director be sufficient or should I send to each and everyone?

If they continue to ignore the request after 28 days, should I send out my notices to each and every shareholder directly?

Found the answer on 310.

Section 310 does not apply to your request to the directors to call a meeting. It relates to the calling of the meeting.

303 is for sending the request to each director. Is it enough to send just one letter to all directors without naming them to the registered address of the company?

310 is for sending the notice to each shareholder. Is it enough to send just one letter to all shareholders without naming them via the CS for circulation? Again I don't know the names and addresses of all the shareholders.

It should be sufficient to give the company Secretary your request to the directors.

You are entitled to inspect the register of members. You may look at the most recent annual return (online at Companies House) but this may be out of date.

One of the directors is trying to block my resolution to be a director on the grounds that I would not be able to fulfill my duty to avoid a conflict of interest. It is possible to reject a resolution before a vote has even taken place?

That seems questionable.

I have observed in the Companies Act that a shareholder can recover reasonable fees for calling a meeting. Does this rule apply to old companies or just new ones formed since the Act was revised in 2006?
