Moan about postage, semi-legal

I recently had to send a tablet to Belgium. It cost £50+ with insurance as its work about £450. So I need to pay a large sum because the post office may well have employed a thief. However, not only that, I presume they also make a profit of this as well. This sounds like something the Krays would do. Just having a moan really but this situation seems unfair at best.

I don't pay the postage anyway, so not something I needed to do. More a moan as it seems like extortion.
