I know the Queen is the ultimate owner of my property, and 1/16th of the land on earth, and that we, her subjects, merely get an estate on her land, but I am the registered proprietor according to the Land Registry. Is that close enough?

I don't believe they committed a trespass because they had a valid reason to be on your property that was to serve you with a notice.

The simple remedy for tresspass is to tell them to leave.
