That's rather a sweeping and presumptuous statement. So they join the police to have an "easy" time, do they? If the police don't want to build such a case, they won't - due to their routine laziness, their general incompetence and the protection offered to them by their next-to-useless so-called PSDs, and the IPCC whose usefulness is highly questionable and whose remit is conveniently very limited.

If it were, the police would do it.

Bollocks they would, because they are routinely lazy and incompetent.

That is not what I said. The OP has been advised that bringing a private prosecution would be the easy solution. That is bad advice.

As to the rest of your post, it is a series of rather sweeping and presumptuous statements.

My post specifically addressed the comment of yours which I quoted.

It had nothing to do with bringing a private prosecution.

The comment of mine was in response to advice to the OP to lay an information. So yes, it did have rather a lot to do with bringing a private prosecution: the prosecution which I refer to the CPS taking over and discontinuing.

I have to take issue with the police being lazy and incompetent. Over the years the police have worked bloody hard at being ever more incompetent. They spend hours, days sometimes, being incompetent now. In my days they could be incompetent in minutes.

I don't need to know the content, but did it have style?

If it had been stylish or amusing I'd have left it alone.

You ask the censor to appraise what he has censored?

I'm hardly likely to ask the bloke next door. He isn't even on this forum.
