discussing the 45th President of the USA
by 3.14 » Mon Jan 30, 2017 6:02 pm
Trump has been trying to govern by impulse, on whim, for personal retribution, for profit, by decree ― as if he had been elected dictator. It doesn’t work, and the wheels are coming off the bus. After a week!
Impeachment is gaining ground because it is the only way to get him out, and because Republicans are already deserting this president in droves, and because the man is psychiatrically incapable of checking whether something is legal before he does it.

Unfortunately, I doubt it will happen. It would be good if it did.
My own bit of wishful thinking sees California and Massachusetts each declare UDI.

Ladbrokes will currently give you odds of 11/10 against Trump being impeached or resigning before the end of his first term.

We are in a state of utter incertainty. Trump is quite unpredictable.

I am now thinking of putting my money on a 'House of Cards' scenario - a Republican Party coup, in which both the current President and current Vice President are impeached and replaced with the person next in line - is it Paul Ryan?

To make the above work, the current President will need to be given enough rope. It may take a few months.
