Breaking...on Trump

Postby 3.14 » Wed Jan 11, 2017 1:38 am

A dossier, compiled by a person who has claimed to be a former British intelligence official, alleges Russia has compromising information on Trump. The allegations are unverified, and the report contains errors.

The document does rather depend upon a doubtful assumption - that Trump is capable of feeling shame.

"Breaking" and "trump" in the same sentence... It's probably just hot air.

I think we should show some more respect to the President Elect. Don't take the piss.

Odd then that he should have something in common with Corbyn (and Blair, of course)

in the light of things being said on social media, a reminder that defamatory material should not be posted and will be deleted. dls cannot afford a legal battle with the President-Elect of the United States.

Personally, I believe that Trump could end up being a damned good President.

My theory is that he thinks he can shake people up a bit by being a disrupter, e.g. annoying China by speaking to Taiwan. Soon, however, that will be seen through. People will learn to sit and watch while he tries to throw them off guard and then wait in silence when he's finished.

Will he then have anything else in his locker?

The USA has needed a massive political shakeup for a very long time now. We have to respect the fact that their ultimate choice at the ballot box was between Hillary Clinton and Trump. All Clinton had to offer was "more of the same" and she carries more adverse baggage than Trump does.

Obama has turned out to have achieved almost nothing in his 8 years as PoTUS and his only significant legacy will be that of being the first black President.

He has also made some very silly comments in the past 6 months or so, such as commenting on and lecturing the UK on its membership of the EU as he did just prior to the Referendum, and lecturing the President-elect on his future conduct as President.

Between Clinton and Trump I'd favour Trump any day.

Anyway time will tell.
