UK Passport for Donald Trump

Some time back, I seem to recall that Alex Salmond rather stupidly proposed trying to ban Donald Trump from entering the UK.

It seems that with his mother having been born in the United Kingdom (In Tong, just north of Stornoway) Donald Trump would actually be automatically entitled to have a UK passport.

Anyone disagree with that?

I am sure that it would go down extremely well in the US, with which the UK has a special relationship, for a president or president-elect to apply for the passport of another country.

Had Alex got his way, he'd have probably been entitled to a scotch passport too :D
