Why should the way be inexorable?
What else is a Union?

A union can be any of many things.

Actually, it was the Common Market - the European Economic Community - that we joined of our own free will. We are leaving an entity which we never joined or voted to join in the first place. We were drawn into the EU via a dishonest process of stealth and deception as to where the train was going, the process being aided and abetted by a succession of weak and useless Prime Ministers of both the main parties. John Major is arguably the most guilty.

What utter bunkum. You must be living on a different planet.
