Actually, on a serious, non-April 1 - note, at least one Province in Canada is determining whether altering our clocks twice a year should end. The idea seems to be to remain on "summer" time all year round, which seems sensible.

Saskatchewan, for example, does not alter its clocks at all.

The fact that Canada and the US are currently one week out of synch with Europe at the autumn changeover and two weeks out of synch at the recent Spring changeover plays havoc with international airline timetables.

I'd love to stay on Summer time.
My suggestions are not legal advice

Chile did it for a while. In fact, I'm still not certain if we are still on one time or changing soon. I've heard both.
