Suppose for a moment that he had not written that. Would you still have made those accusations? If so, on what evie?

You mean his alleged/quoted letter of resignation?

If so, and it was untrue, then I'd be expecting him to immediately be very vocal about its being incorrect. His silence, however, has been deafening - surprising about someone who can readily produce such a torrent of words, fully aware that his words would likely be placed in the public domain.

Over the years, I have known and met and talked in detail with a number of people who work or worked for the Foreign Office. With just 1 exception they were all a bunch of complete tossers.

The FO needs a massive cleanout and would likely function far better if the number of garden gnomes it employs were halved. The tiers of mindless, overblown bureaucracy within it are beyond belief.

If you question the authenticity of his "alleged/quoted letter of resignation" then you have no evidence to support your scurrilous and defamatory accusations.

The percentage in relation to IN/OUT vote as a whole is widely known but the the percentage he used is in relation to the UK population as a whole (including thsoe not eligble) I'd say is not widely known.

There is not balance in the whole report.

A lot of this was summed up by the utter stupidity of yesterday's Sky poll/ It had the unashamed idiocy to ask people how they thought that the UK was getting on with negotiations to leave the EU. 50% said they were unhappy. Since such negotiations have not started, there is not much to be unhappy or happy with. In fact, nothing at all unless you include a failure to start them by not having issued an Article 50 notice.

My working assumption is that we voted to leave the EU and in doing so to leave the single market. I do not think it will be on offer, and if not then we have voted to live with the result.

Isn't that not far off what Sir Ivan was saying?

Of course Sky is owned by some arch-Brexiteer, and the poll is part of an agenda to put pressure on the government to act in a way that pleases Sky's owner.
