Supreme Court hears Brexit case

Postby atticus » Mon Dec 05, 2016 11:55 am

The Supreme Court has ordered that none of the applicants are to be named, in view of threats that have been made.

Please do not infringe that order in anything you write here.

The SC also asked whether any party objected to any of the justices hearing the case. No party made any objection.

Were the applicants not named in the first round? Is this another stable door to close?

Yes. But it has now been closed.

Maybe the SC are telling papers not to do the kind of front page splash some of them did last time.

If so, then I hope they made that more clear than your report does. Some of those reporters appear to have single figure IQ's.

Here is the transcript of the opening morning of the hearing. Read the first few pages.

NB that is a draft transcript. Having dipped in and out, a couple of strange words make me wonder if there is some voice recognition software being used. (e.g. indictmentally)

Is the original lead claimant no longer involved, or did the Daily Mail not get that order? I'll not link to the page: the title has her name on it...
