Come 2022

Postby BakersDozen » Tue Dec 05, 2017 9:25 pm

Our departure from the EU in 2019 will just be purely ceromonial and the door will be left open after that date with us looking more like we will be making financial contributions up until the 2022 General Election.

Rejoining and/or remaining within the EU will figure heavily in the 2022 General Election and since there will be a new generation of voter brought up on a diet of the EU there will be only one possible outcome.

Everything else in the meantime since 2015 until 2022 with respect to EU membership is just a waste of time energy and effort.

My own personal view point the damage has been done, the borders have been opened and the only way a lot of people will leave this country is if their life becomes intolerable here and there are better prospects elsewhere.

Myself personally my mind is made up if Brexit does not happen in March 2019 with sovereignty returned, laws made in our own courts, tight border controls and no financial contributions to the EU then I'm off to pastures new :D

The option of rejoining will always be open to us, whatever form our ultimate departure takes. Future generations will enjoy the same democratic rights in respect of EU membership as we do.

It is human nature to believe that our own opinions are the result of careful thought and meticulous reasoning, whereas our opponents have been taken in by propaganda. If you want your side of the argument to overcome its problem with the under-40s - which is the only way to make Brexit permanent - posts like the above are not the way to go about it.

Let me get this right - if border controls aren't strict enough for your liking you're going to become an immigrant?

I wonder where this country is, that has strict border controls and no freedom of movement, but will still be prepared to allow the OP to settle there?

Perhaps we can find the directions painted on the side of a bus.

So where is this country with isn't going to permit any immigrants to enter, apart from you?

I now think my theory is holding out, another referendum will happen in 2022.

The young will vote remain and as per Martin Schulz’s announcement in 2025 we will be a part of the Federal European Superstate, whatever that will encompass. I’m guessing it will be feudal serfdom whilst the bigwigs live in gated communities.
