And the ape wonders why his posts frustrate others

Atticus in particular should please note the new rule.

What was it you used to call faithless?

More to the point, what did he used to call me?

What has happened to him, anyway - he's still listed as a Moderator but doesn't seem to have posted in years.

I seem to recall he had some serious health issue(s). I hope he's OK.

I merely reminded you that you are certainly not without sin, as regards the new rule; I acknowledge my own.

Faithless is fine. We speak occasionally.

Oh, what a humourless bunch we have become. Mickey-taking nicknames used to be a feature of the board. Personally, I thought Mouldering Scrote was quite clever.

All of us make mistakes. The key is to acknowledge them, learn, and move on. The real sin is ignoring mistakes, or worse, seeking to hide them. So as life is short, smile as the curve sets everything straight while you still have teeth.

Wise words from GS. I agree with Stoaty that playful mangling of names can be fun, but that only applies when the joke is welcome & appreciated. Given the heightened sensitivities amongst our members at present, it is best to err on the side of caution.

What is behind us is behind us. What was behind us was a time when there was no rule. What is before us is life with a rule.

We might have survived without it, but we haven't.

We move on.
