Missing the Irony?

Postby dls » Sat Sep 10, 2016 6:13 am

A certain Tory grandee complains that the modern UK businessman is not properly committed to the job, by saying that they would rather play golf on a Friday than pursue business.

His pronouncement appears to have been made to a group of UK businessmen at a drinks reception in Parliament on a Friday afternoon.

Methinks Theresa May is going to have to sack Reynard the Fox pretty damn quickly - he's been acting like an idiotic spoilt brat since he was appointed to his Brexit role.

He was sacked from a previous post due to his indiscretions.

In what way? By pointing out the bleeding obvious?
I appreciate the desire to not show your cards too early, but when everybody knows that you are bluffing on an empty hand it does seem rather futile.

Andy Hamilton pointed out today that not showing your hand doesn't get you far if you don't have any cards, and are not sitting at the card table.

I'd never heard of Andy Hamilton, but he seems to be a comedian.

Clearly a very talented guy, but in my view, an airhead politically!

Oh, I don't know. Fox was a leading member of Vote Leave, so he's plainly something of an idiot.
