I seem to be quite apt at missing out the word hesitate in letters and emails. As in 'if you have any further queries do not contact me'. I've seen a few howlers on legal documents. One was an agreement to build a bridge which omitted to include the date by which it had to built, thus making the agreement almost worthless.
I was working at a bank and I had been shown a letter from a Mr MVO who had written to complain that his name was actually Mr Joe Bloggs MVO (being Member of the Victorian Order). Mr Bloggs proceeded to suggest would the bank address someone with a doctorate as Dear Mr PHD.
