Does anyone on here practice meditation and mindfulness?

I do.

I used to think it was nonsense but I'm trying to train my mind to think differently. Stop worrying about the future or the past. Just being in the moment.

Trying to learn how to stand outside my thoughts and observe them instead of believing that I am my thoughts and letting them control me.

It takes a lot of practice but it's really starting to make a difference.

You can't do anything about a 'worry'. Worrying is pointless.
You can do something about a problem.

Very true. People are sick with worry and it makes no sense. It's such a destructive thought pattern.

You have the same philosophy as I do on worrying.

If there's nothing you can do about something, it's pointless to worry about the issue. Easier said than done, though. :)

It's better to concentrate one's mental efforts on problems about which one can - even potentially - do something.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.

I have meditated nearly every day for 40+ years. That suggests that I think it works.
