A person is charged with a criminal offence . Legal aid is granted but the person must pay X amount. A further means assessment is made and X is increased to Y. In the mean time the person becomes seriously ill,is hospitalised and no longer able to administer the situation. Payments fall behind as unpaid. Legal aid agency /enforcement agencies will not speak to family member.
Can payments/enforcement be paused ?
Any solutions/advice welcome..thanks
