abuse

Postby Earl » Mon May 01, 2017 1:39 pm

Hi
What is abuse and when does it start.
I am a child of the 60's I was beaten with whatever was at hand. Slippers, sticks, hands, ridging crops.
At the weekends I was taken to naturist beaches and clubs, had numerous photos taken. Mainly Dad instigated this.
Sundays I was taken to Baptist Church morning noon and night. Mainly mum instigated this.
Constantly I keep reading about petty allegations in the press and cannot believe that just because my parents were not famous that they can get away with this.
I have suffered with anxiety and depression all my life, having said this I am a fighter.
Monday to Friday I was a Catholic school.
My parents divorced when I was 16,
Suggestions.

It is not a matter for proper public discussion of any details.

Talk to either or both a specialist solicitor or the police. You may not get anywhere, and we cannot say from here whether you should or should not succeed.

You first need to heal yourself.

I am going to say that Earl needs to find a good counsellor. How she does that, I really have no idea.

Well that raises an interesting question, though I'm not sure how best to frame it in words: is naturism intrinsically indecent?

Indecency is in the eye of the beholder. I was amazed to watch a documentary on a couple of Utah Mormon families living adjacently, each with one husband and three or four wives, and a horde of kids. They were clearly very well off and at one scene were frolicking around a large swimming pool in gloriously hot weather, all fully clothed, not a swimming costume in sight.

Whilst I agree this shouldn't be a matter for public discussion I suggest the op considers therapy for his own piece of mind..
