Statement of Proof

Postby shane1983 » Tue Mar 14, 2017 6:11 pm

Hi there, I am a big newbe when it comes to law and the courts. I was wondering if someone could show me an example of a 'statement of proof'. I am particular interested in statements of proof relating to property disputes.

Really need some help on this thank you.

A search suggests this isn't a term used in English law: it seems to come from across the pond. Do you perhaps mean a Statement of Case, or a Statement of Truth?

I wonder if this is what the OP has in mind ...

The Land Registry has a habit of referring to witness statements as "statements of truth". The proper meaning of "statement of truth" is the statement at the end of a witness statement wher the person making the statement says that he believes that all the facts stated in it are true.
