The "In-Out" list, and other stories.

The "In-Out" list, and other stories.

Postby Hairyloon » Tue Oct 31, 2017 5:17 pm

There is some talk in the news about some of our MP's and ministers behaving inappropriately and there is a list of names and misdemeanour's being circulated on social media.
If any of those listed chose to take action for defamation, what are their options?
Can they sue all of the many hundreds of people who have shared the list and if so, would any damages awarded be shared between the defendants?
Or would/should they name but a few and pursue them for the whole amount?
Take me to your lizard...

That seems a sensible course of action.

Personally I think there is a very real difference between someone being asked to put out, put up or shut up to advance their career and somebody touching someone in the course of a conversation or greeting.

All of these appear to be unwanted.
