Hi,

I booked a holiday last month for 4 people, I paid £860 so far, but had to cancel my Son out of the trip. The balance due is still the same even though they took my Son off, and if I add another person it will cost me another £507 . I have tried cancelling the holiday with the travel company but I won't get back my deposit, we don't go away until June 3rd so why would they keep my money? Any advice please.

Cases like this may help - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/trave ... arges.html

Read your contract. Stand your ground.

It is important to identify the exact relationship between you and the company and your agency. They vary hugely, and you just have to clarify it properly.

As Atti says - read your contract(s)
