Who are "they"?

Who are "we"?

What is the job that "we" pay "them" to do?

"They" are the elected representatives and the people behind them, and "we" are the taxpayers.

I know the point is flawed because that effort is going into becoming the elected representatives, but it is not so flawed as to be irrelevant.

A fair point, but I believe I can still lay claim to being a member of the society (ie "we") that does pay them. That society may have declared itself unfriendly, but if they've escalated that to excommunication, then the notice has got lost in the post...

So what do you say that we, the taxpayers, pay political parties?

Well, the Labour Party is funded substantially through the Unions, with funds derived from fleecing the workers, and the Conservative Party is funded by donations paid for by, among other things, the sale at a profit* of formerly public assets.

But this is rather a distraction from the real point here, which is the use of a weapons-grade lying machine...

{*apologies for the rabid left source, but the references appear to check out}.
