Your "friend" wants a company to provide e-mails between herself and the company. Surely she should have those e-mails from her side anyway. So why is she wasting the company's time trying to find out what she already knows?

No. This appears to suggest that the simple inclusion of a name makes it data. No, there must be information about that individual. There are two elements - the identification and the information.
