Good debate re Gripes...

Surely there must be a "trigger point" before management take action 'cos in every office, warehouse, shop-floor and workshop everyone has a "gripe. In my office tea-spoons go missing. We bitch (non-PC?), moan and "gripe".

Straws and camels come to mind.
The problem, I think is that employers tend to dismiss gripes and thereby ignore the cumulative effects.

Can't quote the case but ignoring grievance has led to employees believing the employer won't uphold the contract and so, in effect, is repudiating it: constructive dismissal.

Re "final straw", yes, make a "final straw grievance". Explain, expect some reaction to make better: resign if not (if you can get alternative employment).
