My understanding of OP was that he has not been dismissed yet.

Yes I have not yet been dismissed but every move they have made has convinced me that it is going to happen. I have to make a decision soon. Dislcose the recording just prior to the dismissal and see what they do or let them dismiss and use the recording afterwards during the appeal prior to court.

Then, hairy, the OP does not yet have anything to appeal. And time for applying to the ET about the dismissal that hasn't happened has not begin to run.

The rest of us were discussing the OP's position if dismissed.

You should try to keep up Atti': OP had expressed a desire to catch his employers committing perjury.

You should make sure that you are keeping up before suggesting others do so.

To anyone interested - I disclosed my covert recordings and didn't lose my job. But I am leaving anyway.

The circumstances under which I'm leaving cannot be discussed online but safe to say I'm happy enough. Thanks all for your input.

I hope that's a good outcome for you. Obviously you must abide by any confidentiality terms you have agreed.

I was never going to stay there anyway so it's a decent outcome.

I might have fared better had I gone to tribunal but then I came across the comments under this article and decided the stress and aggravation wasn't worth it.

Some interesting points in that article and comments. May be worth bringing some here for discussion: we have been doing too much politics, it would be good to have a distraction and talk about law. ;)
