A school in the West Midlands has created a furore after reportedly separating children in the playground based on whose parents paid a donation for new sports equipment.
Wednesbury Oak Academy has sparked outrage over what many have referred to as "rich and poor zones".

I was slightly surprised when I read the article: for some reason, I'd expected the "poor" to be a minority, but it seems that 4/5 chose to not pay.
Looking at what they bought with the money, I'm not at all surprised why they didn't: £300 for a football a rugby ball, a slinky, two skipping ropes and some a tennis balls...
