Odd, perhaps, that we have a national health service that is, mostly, free at the point of contact, but a judicial system that is anything but. Not only that, but the judicial system appears to seek to obstruct anyone defending themselves. No recording of the court proceedings, McKenzie friends not usually allowed to address the court. How long before we start hearing the old court martial call "March the guilty bastard in."

From a letter in response to the article:

The Law Society has totally failed the profession and the public that profession is supposed to serve.

How very true.
