Appears to oblige selected jobseekers to spend 35 hours/week undertaking "supervised job-seeking".

Other than creating jobs for supervisors, what is the point?

There are many JSA claimants who have been entrenched in the benefits system for far too long.

Can you suggest an alternative?

Accept that as fact and pay them a lower rate?
Have a "back to work" programme that actually creates jobs rather than destroys them?
Or simply put them to work, but pay them a fair rate... or at least minimum wage.
