A.G.M Matters Arising

A.G.M Matters Arising

At the A.G.M what type of things should be included in Agenda Item : Matters Arising following the minutes ? If it is not focused I am concerned that too many issues may be brought up. Are there specific limits on what is brought up during this ?

Issues that affect the company and its shareholders.

Take a look at the provisions of the company's Articles of Association dealing with meetings of members of the company.

So that appears to without limit. I had read in a running meetings article that it has two elements : any further information and any action that had been decided.
Presumably this does not take Company Law into account.
Our AoA give no details.

Are you expecting a difficult meeting? The purpose of an AGM is for directors to account to shareholders.

As I expect in a number of Companies, there are a small minority who wish to be disruptive and make comments just to cause trouble. However, it seems just have to grin and bear it : they never have any evidence to remotely justify their behaviour. Fortunately a substantial majority are very courteous people.
