You may only sell if a court order permits it.

I have sold my development project houses without the need for a court order before. I have never heard of this on a private or business property sale, where you are the sole owner, that is.

Family law has specific powers to ignore the names in which an asset is held.

I am guessing that there was no such restriction placed on the titles to those properties at the time you sold them!

Sorry, but in that kind of thinking lies disaster. You are your own, and therefore eventually your children's, worst enemy. You have to be objective. A judge will not entertain such thinking, and your job is to persuade him - eventually and in principle.
