Old age and inevitable deterioration

Postby shootist » Tue Sep 19, 2017 7:26 pm

That's what I'm looking at. The inevitable is staring me in the face. I now own a pair of slippers, and, God help me, I have just bought a new Macintosh computer. It's the end of days.

The Mac is truly the beginning of the end.

interesting to see shooter invoking the Christian deity. Perhaps intimations of his mortality are leading him to hedge his bets.

Although I profess atheism, I suspect that I am more of an agnostic. I suspect it is possible that there is a God. The bigger question is, is God an unmitigated psychotic arsehole of the first water? Personally, I think that would be the way to bet.

P.S.
The term 'God' is generic and not limited to Christianity.

"God" is not generic; "god" is.

Christianity and Judaism refer to their deity as "God". Perhaps there are other faiths that do the same.

I was pleased to go through the BBC test for how old your body is as against your calendar age. At 66 I was (happily) told I have the body of a fifty year old. Just bragging.

And what does the 50 year old have to say about it?
