Job interview

Postby Smouldering Stoat » Fri Sep 08, 2017 2:55 pm

I hate job interviews. I don't know why I put myself through this torture. Apart from the obvious reason.

I could never get it right. I would spear anyone who said they were passionate about their work

But I am passionate about my work...

Was it an internal interview, stoats?

Yes. Same company, different department. I may have said that I was passionate about my job, but fortunately nobody produced any weaponry. I won't hear until the middle of next week.

Moral dilemma: there was an extra person on the panel and the two copies of my presentation that I'd been told to bring wasn't enough. Should I have forewarned my colleagues who were being interviewed later?

You might have gained a brownie point by asking the panel that question!

"Should" is too strong a word there. There is no "should", but it would have been a nice thing to do.

My first thought, hell no! Taking a l'il step back, yes. If I had been on the panel I would thought it a shrewd move and would have made a note of it to discuss during the decision process.

Did you let your colleagues know to bring an extra copy?

Of course it is a good thing to be passionate about what you do, but it is in the far side of a cliche to say it.
