Try the SIRT way of eating - not really a diet but the first period is geared to weight loss. Supposed to boost metabolism. I've lost abuot 12 pounds and it has stayed off.

You can eat certain chocolate and drink pinot noir and the recipes are very tasty.

Special diets are not an option. I live out in the sticks and I eat what there is.

there is a lot of myth about diets that increase metabolism. most of the studies show an increas equivalent to about 40kcal. or 2 -3 cups of coffee. Also they normally do the studies on really fat people so all the health benefits like insulin sensitivity and lowering growth factor are more attributed to getting to a healthy weight.

There are only 3 ways to increase the metabolic rate:
- consume hardcore metabolisers most of which are toxic
- exercise a lot. particularly weights and HIIT to grow some big guns and experience EPOC
- eat. food is thermogenic and raises the metabolism.

As long as you eat a little less than you need you will drop weight.

approx -15. a good coffee is 1-2kcal but the caffeine is good for 10-20 depending on the size and your tolerance to stimulants. coffee is thermogenic.

HIIT high intensity interval training.
EPOC. excess post exercise oxygen consumption. known as after burn.
