Exercising by gardening/construction

Postby 3.14 » Wed Aug 10, 2016 4:35 pm

The primary purpose is two-fold. 1 - Exercise and lose weight. I am currently 82KG in weight and I need to be 70 kg. 2 - make the parcela better. This is the before picture. I'm going to work on this area for one hour every morning.
Step 1: Remove all the vegetation on the ground and even the ground up.
Step 2: Build brick wall along left flank.
Step 3: Build brick wall along rear.
Step 4: Fill area with sand and stones.
Step 5: Dig holes & add 6 posts.
Step 6: Cover floor with cement.
Step 7: Add some kind of outdoor tiles to floor.

Have you decided what you're going to do with it when it's finished?
God - "I have made Mankind!"
Angels - "You screwed up a perfectly good monkey is what you did. Look at it. It's got anxiety!"

If you mean my body? It will be sculpted like a Greek demi-god and ready to accept visitors. If you mean what is the point of the work? Build or buy a ready made shed and stick it on the end next to that brick construction. Then keep building a path area toward the left going down.

Is this in Chile? It looks like my back garden in England. Well perhaps not quite as overgrown as mine.

Yes, it's in Chile. It is the overgrown part nearest the house. It's winter here so there's plenty of rain and the plants are green at the moment.

I was going to echo Atti - it looks like England - but just in summer!

Excess weight starts and finishes in overeating, not exercise. Many builders have bellies bigger than their substantial shoulders.

I agree. annoying though it is, 1 hour of hard graft a day will give you about 1lb a week off assuming you work very hard.

Weight loss is 80% about what goes in. work out your TDEE and how much of a deficit you need to drop your kilos in the time you want. a kilo of fat is approx. 7,000kcal

assuming you weren't super morbidly obese to start. you may cause your body to burn lean muscle doing that. :D if you have a TDEE somewhere around 2500. id knock off about 750 a day and then with the 300 or so from exercise you'll be about a kilo a week down.

there are a million ways to do it though.

I'm not obese at all. I am 82 kg (12.9 Stones) and i need to be 65 - 75 kg (10 - 11.5 Stones).
I'm not that tall. 1.68 m.
BMI - 29.1 (and this figure needs to come down to 25)
